Hello and a very warm welcome to the Autumn 2017 newsletter.
We all hope you have a wonderful Autumn.
Mark and the Team
Two Renault Zoe have been ordered, one of which is destined for Rydon Lawns in Exeter. They will have a 190 mile range and are easy to drive and charge, blissfully quiet, comfortable, with no tailpipe emissions and 100% powered by renewable energy so great for the environment! The cars will be going live in the next couple of months.
Enter our photography competition for a chance to win a 24 hour car hire (excluding mileage).
Just take a photo of a Co-car or Co-bike in a beautiful autumn setting and email it to email@example.com.
If your photograph includes people, please do get their permission as we would like to share it on social media.
The judges’ decisions will be final, all prizes are non-transferrable and there are no cash alternatives.
Closing date: 30th November 2017
Tim and Mary Kirkpatrick travel regularly from London to Devon.
“We are thrilled to have signed on with Co-cars for our regular visits to Exeter, as it means we no longer have to cram into the back of our friend’s gardening van for trips to Dartmoor! The signing up and induction process has been simple and human, and the logistics of the booking, using and paying for the vehicle are straightforward. Recommended. Keep up the good work.”
The new cars at railway stations in Newton Abbot, Plymouth and Truro are all in place and doing well, but the car at the Dell car park, adjacent to Falmouth Town station, has been particularly enthusiastically received and is proving popular with residents and visitors alike. Consequently, just this week, we’ve located a second Toyota Yaris (pricing band 2) at Waterside House, Penryn.
We’ve recently had a lovely comment from Malcolm Bell, Chief Executive of Visit Cornwall:
“We know that the greatest draw for visitors to Cornwall is the quality of our environment and landscape and that is why we are so pleased to be working with Co-cars as many of our visitors want to leave the lightest touch they can and use the most environmentally friendly transport.”
The Truro car parking bay at the railway station has now been moved to make it even more visible and closer to the station entrance
The next two terminals to join the Co-bikes network will be at Exeter St. David’s Railway Station and St. Luke’s University campus, and are ready to go live in November.
We will be attending the following events so please do come and say hello if you see us.
17th October – St. Luke’s campus, Exeter
18th October – University of Exeter
28th October – Falmouth University Open Day
18th November – Lemon Quay in Truro
If you have an event that you would like Co-cars to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will check our availability.
Half term will be upon us. Soon. So book your Co-car for an outing with the kids.
If you’ve ever experienced a naughty car driver parked in a designated ‘car club only’ on-street bay, you’ll be pleased to know that Devon Highways Enforcement has introduced a new service where you can report an offending vehicle.
Members can include the car registration number and picture of the offending vehicle in our on-street bay. Hopefully they will get a parking ticket and be deterred from doing it again!Report an offending vehicle (Devon only)
For reporting procedures for all other locations, please consult section 11 in the Car User Guide, stores in the car’s glove compartment.
