An eggcellent new location in Salisbury
One of our Salisbury Co Cars has relocated to a new home in the city. The Toyota Yaris (Band 2) is now available from a dedicated bay outside the Steam Laundry on Salt Lane. The new location is much more visible to encourage more people to join the ‘Co’ family. Our Band 1 Honda Jazz is also still available from Belgrave Terrace, just off St Paul’s Roundabout.

Spring into a new Co-car!
We have over 20 cars available in Exeter, including our latest additions:

  • Conveniently close to Digby & Sowton train station, our Toyota Auris hybrid (Band 3) is available from Bishops Way EX2 7PF
  • In the East of Exeter, choose between our Toyota Aygo (Band 1) at Langaton Lane car park or our Toyota Yaris hybrid (Band 2) at Pinn Lane
  • Put some spark into your drive with one of our electric Renault Zoe’s (Band 3). Available from Queen St (Central Station), Bonhay Rd (St David’s Station), Albatross Rd (Newcourt) and Peppercombe Av. (Hill Barton). Plus, there’s no mileage if you use our charge point!

Keep your eyes peeled for new car locations coming in a few weeks…

We’ve been busy hatching a new look
As you may have noticed from the top of this email, we’re updating our brand. Because sharing is at the heart of everything we do, we’re making our ‘Co’ symbol the hero of our story. Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll start to see the new look popping up all over the place.

First up are our electric cars. These will be followed by our new electric bike fleet, due to arrive in Exeter early summer. More news coming soon or, if you can’t wait, pop down to see us at Princesshay’s Spring Family Day (12 April 11am-3pm) where you can take a new bike for a test ride.

Say hello to our cracking customer service team

During weekday daytimes…
Say ‘hi’ to Jack who has joined us as our dedicated daytime customer service support. Outside of the office, he’s a keen cyclist and also plays drums in a band.

For out of hours support…
Our out of hours team is here to help if you have an active booking and need immediate assistance. Depending on the time of day, you could be speaking to:

Benji, our Operations & HR Director who also runs his own property management company. In his spare time, you can find him on his allotment or practicing his carpentry.

Laurence who also does many of our member inductions. As well as enjoying sailing, he also runs his own night at Exeter Phoenix – ‘Dancing in the Dark’.

Sally who is calm in a crisis as she used to work as an ambulance dispatcher. She is a mum of two and enjoys rollerblading and volleyball.

Dwight who’s background is in IT support and software development. Now he lives on farm where he’s been helping deliver the lambs!

Chick us out in the news…

We were delighted to be featured in the latest ‘Breakthrough Cities’ report published by Volans, in association with Innovate UK. The report looks at what happens when the principles of urban innovation are applied to a city – in this case Exeter.

We were also honoured to participate in this year’s TEDxExeter event. Our electric cars transported all the speakers from their hotel to the University of Exeter, and we also spent the day there with a car and the first of our new electric bikes.

TED talks are renowned worldwide for their inspirational content so, if you haven’t already, head over to YouTube to check them out…
