Coronavirus precautions when using Co Cars

by | Mar 19, 2020 | News

With the news dominated by coronavirus, your wellbeing remains our top priority. Our focus is to continue to provide you with the service you need whilst also keeping you safe.

For your reassurance, we would like to reiterate that all of our Co Cars are regularly cleaned and our team will be paying extra attention to common contact points. Official guidance states that most infections are via direct person to person contact and the most effective thing we can all do is wash our hands regularly. Please also consider carrying your own hand-sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes to use at the start and end of your journey.

If you are diagnosed with coronavirus or are experiencing symptoms, please refrain from using our cars. If you have used one of our cars within 24 hours of a diagnosis,  so we can remove the car from our fleet for a deep clean.

If you are based in Exeter, our electrically assisted Co Bikes are now available at 9 locations around the city, including Heavitree and the RD&E Hospital. These are great for shorter journeys and help you get some fresh air and exercise as you go about your day. Hire for just £1 per 20 minutes using the nextbike app. As with our cars, our team are paying extra cleaning attention to common contact points and please feel free to also use your own sanitising products.

We are continuing to monitor the latest advice and will update you if the situation changes.
